Since ancient times, a knife has been a standard tool that people carried with them to deal with a wide variety of situations. Survival knives often have extra options like a compass, Flint or fishing tackle etc.

These types of extras are often tucked into the hollow handle and this can come at the expense of the strength of the knife. We recommend for hardcore trekkers and survival enthusiasts a solid knife and loose extra attributes.

Often just a good quality knife without extras will do.
