The Fox Fairbairn-Sykes is a modern interpretation of the legendary Fairbairn-Sykes combat knife. The original design originated during World War II and was developed by British officers William E. Fairbairn and Eric A. Sykes. With their experience in short-range combat, they created a knife that became known worldwide as the weapon of choice for special forces.
Fox Knives' version is designed by Dutch company Hill Knives and, as we have come to expect from Fox, is manufactured with extreme precision in Maniago, Italy.
The single-sided sharpened spear point blade is made of Böhler N690Co a high-quality stainless chrome steel. This steel is known for its balanced composition of carbon, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium and cobalt. The result is an exceptional combination of Wear Resistance, Corrosion Resistance and Toughness. Features that ensure excellent performance in demanding applications. In addition, the blade has a black PVD coating, which not only provides additional wear resistance, but also gives it a tactical, modern look.
The handle is made of black anodized T6-6082 aluminum. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the knife offers a firm grip in both forward and backward positions. The use of aluminum keeps the weight down without compromising on durability. An integrated hand guard increases safety and makes the knife comfortable to use.
The leather sheath included provides a safe and stylish way to carry the knife. It can be easily attached to the belt or carried via a lanyard.
