In Krav Maga, we use different types of gloves.
Boxing gloves for safe sparring and some harder contact.
Sparring gloves because they have good padding that allows you to spar safely, but also to grip and thus make releases in scenario training.
MMA gloves lend themselves well to working on the ground and for use on punching bags, pads and cushions. For standing sparring combat, we do not use these gloves.
